The National Day of Prayer, on May, 4th, is “designated by the United States Congress, when people are asked "to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” (Wikipedia) As we face a time of great angst and division it would seem like a prayer event on the National Day of Prayer would make great sense so we are hosting this prayer event at the Life Revitalization Center of Cherry Street Ministries. Cherry Street, Merge, and others are joining together to bring the Church in Toledo together to pray. Toledo Prays will be a concert of prayer with pastors and leaders from around our great city leading us in prayer and intercession. We will pray for our city/region, our nation and the Church, lifting one voice and one heart to the Lord. Toledo Prays is not political it is “His people who are called by His name” praying together. It is not run by one church body or one denomination it is a merging of many voices and tribes. Our hope is that this would be a glimpse of what heaven will look like with all tribes and nations lifting one voice to our One God. It is not multi-faith, it is the body of Jesus praying in His name, with His authority as we wrestle in the unseen realm for such time as this. We hope you will and your local church body will join with others in our city as we pray. Join us and invite others. Let us know you are coming by registering for free at pray.mergetoledo.org
